My brother and I have been seeing the Lord work in so many ways here in Arequipa. As our first international missions trip, we did not know what to expect. We held a VBS for the kids in a poor area of the city today and while everything we have done has been eye opening, this was beyond anything we had ever expected.
The multitude of kids should have been overwhelming but we just wanted to see more kids come. It is amazing with what child like faith these kids ran into our arms. They smiled when they saw us, laughed at our broken spanish, and were hanging off our arms. We have never witnessed such great joy from a child who to us, has nothing. But to them, right there in that moment, they had Jesus and we are convinced while we pray that some part of them knew that was enough.
God is working, and He is here. Can't wait for vbs part II tomorrow!!
