"Faith is being sure of what we hope for; and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
Wow! I don't know how to describe this day except by saying that we were overwhelmed by an all-powerful God! We started the day off by handing out salvation tracts to people on the street. It was so amazing! Here in Peru they are grateful for the tracts we handed out and some even held out their hands to make sure they received one. Thank you God for letting the hearts of the Peruvians be open! For lunch we traveled back to a different church. We finally got an authentic Peruvian meal. It was quite different from what we are normally used to, but it was still good! After we headed back to town and split into 7 groups consisting of 3-4 people and a translator. This time we not only handed out tracts but we sat and talked to them and some were even led to Christ. My group: Daniel, Jocelyn, Jasmine, and I got to lead 7 women to Christ! Praise God! And there were other groups that did the same! Afterwards we bought some churros, and oh my goodness they were heavenly! At night we went back to the church and we did the sermon. It went really well. Thank you Jesus! At the end the pastor asked us to pray over the congregation. It was absolutely amazing! To pray for these people who were broken or hungry (spiritually) or just in need of a hug was so awesomely overwhelming. Thank you God for blessing this day and overwhelming us with your relentless love towards us and the lovely people of Peru!
In His love,
Rachel
