How do I begin explaining the adventures of the day?  There are so many blessings God gives us each day.  It is a joy that here in Peru people are so happy and grateful for each one.  Today we had the pleasure of visiting 2 more schools.  The first one we went to visit was for kids with disabilities–either mental or physical.  It was amazing to see how much joy the children got just from getting a hug and a kiss.  All they wanted was to get some attention.  After doing the regular skits, songs, and sharing of testimonies, we were able to blow bubbles, color, and just spend time with them.  Following that school, we went to a more formal school where we had only a half hour to minister to the students.  We had to go through regular enactments quickly so that we would have some time to spend with the kids.  When we finally had a couple minutes, the kids swarmed.  They were hugging and kissing you.  I thought I was going to be crushed.  Then when paper came out, they all wanted more autographs.  I wish I never had to wash my cheeks.  (Don't worry Mom & Dad, I did.)  Afterwards we had lunch and had a little free time to play "futbol" & walk around a local market nearby.  The biggest blessing of the day for me was VBS.  It was up on a hill where you could see the ocean crashing on the shore and the busy city below.  At this VBS, I met a girl who I will never forget (her photo is in with the pictures).  Her name was Loyda & even though I only speak a little Spanish, with just that (and a lot of help from God), I was able to have real conversations with this precious child and I got to see her receive Christ in her heart.
We just now got done with our evening worship (it's 9:30 as I write this).  Tonight we got to worship our awesome Father on the roof of the hostel.  We first prayed for the city.  We had a beautiful view of the city lights.  Then when we started singing, it again got emotional.  I believe every night this week will have at least a few tears.
So as I start to get ready for bed, I want to again thank you all for your prayers.
Goodnight & God bless.

  1. You all are In our thoughts and prayers each day. We are excited to be able to hear, each day, how God is using you to further His Kingdom. Thank you for serving God in Peru. Love and miss you, Rachel, Mom.

  2. Amazing how a heart can feel what the words are saying…I would imagine that any heart that has been on a missions trips know EXACTLY what you shared to night Chloe. The angels are rejoicing as well – another “citizen in heaven”. Have a great trip with Him.

    Love ya,
